Recap Stammtisch Treffen Hong Kong

Desperate times in Hong Kong for the Stammtisch. Since the beginning of the year, bars and pubs have been closed, restaurants can only seat 2 persons per table and all dine-in is prohibited after 18:00. So we five remaining ESB alumni in Hong Kong decided to have a meeting at Reggi’s company. Reggi is importing German products into Hong Kong.
We first dropped by to fill up our storage shelves at home. After having bought bread, sausages, Gummibärchen and more bread and sausage we retired to the company meeting room for one beer.

There was a lot of things to be discussed. The expat exodus out of Hong Kong (including the author of these lines who will move to Munich this summer), Covid-19 in Hong Kong (two of the five have had it), Putin’s war in Ukraine and why he should’ve never bought cheap, fake tires for his trucks.

And then there was the food. Delicious food from Reggie’s warehouse. Bierwurst, Leberwurst in different kinds, Hähnchenfleisch, saure Gurken together with various forms of bread and a never ending supply of Swabian beer - beautiful.
Deeply satisfied, bellies filled, we left the premises, hit Hong Kong’s deserted streets and Ubered towards home at 1:30 in the morning.
