IPBS D/IRL 2008

As I had very inspirational experiences with several alumni during my studies already and after organizing the (obviously best ever) International Business Weekend 2008 in Ireland with one of the most amazing Oldboy crowds imaginable, I decided to engage myself actively as a part of the ESB Alumni e.V. I started by supporting IBWEs as well as other events and today coordinate various activities across the ESB Alumni community.

My motivation for engagement is to maintain and further extend our great network across the globe, fueled by our unique ESB and Alumni spirit.

Alumni can make a difference: As coach for current students and young alumni, as advisor to ESB Business School, as thought partner for alumni peers.

Since 2001, I have the pleasure to work with many fellow alumni volunteers to build and drive our ESB alumni network.

I live with my family in Bad Homburg, Germany and spend my professional time mostly in Europe and in the US.

While I was studying at ESB I was able to get involved in the ESB Alumni Association already. So I was thrilled to take up the opportunity after my studies to keep evolving and improving the associations’ engagement on and off campus.

The experiences gained throughout my studies have shown me what a group of motivated, driven, like-minded and ESB-spirited people can accomplish together and just that is what the ESB Alumni Association has set its goal to – to keep this uniqueness throughout the lifetime of any ESB Alumni.

Hello dear Alumni, networking is the key.
As co-founder of the first Alumni organization in the 80ties and repeated Co-founder of the current ESB Reutlingen Alumni e.V. I appreciate the networking experience as well as the exchange between student members and old boys. In the ESB Alumni board I am acting as „Contact Officer“ to the ESB advisory board. My personal gentle hint to all alumni: Stay cool, work hard, don`t forget to live. And please, be curious until the end of your life time.

Establishing close ties to fellow students during your studies at ESB Business School does not only help in building life-long friendships, but also in building up a business network that you can benefit from in the future.

It is my aim to support the alumni in sustaining existing networks, reconnecting with fellow students, as well as connecting with other alumni all around the world. I am responsible for the regional networking initiatives around the globe, as well as for enhancing the communication, e.g. via our Social Media channels.

MBA Part-Time 2005

When I started studying at ESB Business School I was very surprised by the community-like atmosphere, something I hadn't experienced in law school where you typically have 300 students per year. While I was studying at ESB, I met a few alumni, so when I got my first job with the MBA degree and was moving to a mid-size German town, it was natural to look out for other alumni in the area and I have met so many of them in all the places I worked in Europe, the Americas, and Asia. My motivation is to make the international network stronger. That's why I work as an editor for the Europolitan to discover all the brilliant careers and companies where our alumni are and make them known in our network.

To help keep the unique ESB spirit alive after graduation and foster life long friendships are my key motivators for engaging within ESB Reutlingen Alumni.

Since a few years, I have the pleasure to organize alumni events in which we combine high-class lectures or workshops with informal networking activities. I hope to meet many of you within one of these or the various other events organized by our alumni network.

IB 2015

ESB has connected me to many people who have turned into friends for life. Through my engagement in the alumni association I would like to give back something to that and contribute to creating a place where like-minded people can meet after their studies to share common interests, great memories, and most importantly continue to live the ESB SPIRIT!

After finishing the IB program in 2015 I dedicated myself to connecting current ESB students with alumnis through the mentoring program as well as joined the communications team to work on the relaunch of our new webpage

IMDD D/E 2014

Studying the IMX program, I spent the first two years in beautiful Reutlingen and enjoyed the last two years in the vivid capital of Spain – Madrid. For my master’s degree I chose the cold North of Europe and went to Sweden.
During my years of study I already realized, that the large and active network of ESB students and alumni cannot be taken as a matter of course. It is based on many alumni staying in touch with their alma mater after their time in university. All the more it is important to me to keep the ESB spirit alive. Within the ESB Alumni Association I am responsible for the mentoring program. I work on bringing current students and alumni together to enable students to build a large network right from the start.

Ever since I was a elected as course speaker at ESB representing my semester for four years, it was my interest to stay closely connected to ESB even after my studies as I had an unforgettable time there. Within my function as a board member I am supporting the mentoring program and would like to pass on the ESB spirit as well as strengthen the close collaboration between students and alumni.

IB 2015

„Living the spirit to the fullest during my time in Reutlingen was definitely what I enjoyed the most about ESB. Today, more than ever I highliy appreciate meeting fellow ESB Alumni and current students. This is also why I highly enjoy working with the Alumni Resort on campus.

After finishing my Masters I started working as Sales representative in a start up in Berlin. Not only in my job I realise more and more that having good friends and people with a good network is worth so much more than good Excel and PowerPoint skills. So go out, meet people who eventually become friends and enjoy yourselfs. And never forget, the currency of networking is not greed but generosity.“

MBA Part-Time 2018

After finishing my aerospace engineering studies in Stuttgart and starting to work as a research assistant, I also began my current part-time MBA program at ESB. In my function within the board of the ESB Alumni association I am the contact point for member networking and member coaching. Additionally, I contribute to the mission and vision statements of the association.
The ESB Alumni association offers me the opportunity to connect with interesting people who evolve themselves and their network continually – something I like to do very much.

ILM 2013

After my bachelor's degree in International Logistics Management at ESB Business School and a master program in International Management I started my career at an international lean management consulting company.
My motivation to engage as a board member, particularly recruiting, at ESB Alumni e.V. is that I want to increase the number of WING students in our association. I am convinced that all students can benefit from one of the largest alumni networks in Germany. With our events and regular tables we connect alumni with students.

IPBS DE / IT 2012

After completing my Double Degree studies at ESB Business School and in Piacenza in 2012, I lived in England for three years working as a technology consultant for IBM. In 2015 I moved back to Germany and since then I have worked for adidas in Herzogenaurach as a Senior Project Manager for Digital & CRM projects. I have always wanted to give something back to ESB. When I heard that the board was looking for volunteers to help with the relaunch of the website, I jumped at the exciting opportunity and felt that with my IT experience I could make a valuable contribution.

After graduating in Cultural Studies and Rhetorics at the University of Tübingen in 2008 I started working at the ESB Career Center. Besides organizing the Career Center, I was also entrusted with developing the ESB’s relationship with its alumni association ESB Reutlingen Alumni e.V. When the association asked me to manage their new office on campus in Reutlingen in 2012, I gladly accepted and still enjoy working there every day.
Since then I have been the first point of contact for all matters concerning the alumni network. I work closely with the managing board and operate at the interface between alumni, students and ESB Business School. I do the planning, organizing and coordinating of events arranged by and for alumni. I am also responsible for our magazine “Europolitan” as well as our online communication on different social media channels, regular newsletters etc. With my background in humanities I surely bring some variety to our team.
To enable former and current students to stay connected is a great job. The most important part of the alumni network is the people and we work together to pursue a common goal. I love what I do.

For a long time I have already been connected to ESB: In June 1989 I started working in the ESB student office, where I had the opportunity to meet and support various generations of young ESB students. During my parental leave I began working for the V.I.M.A e.V. Moreover, I have been assisting ESB Alumni in several administrative areas for years (e.g. job offers, mentoring and new members).
Through my work for V.I.M.A and the ESB Reutlingen Alumni e.V. I have never lost touch to ESB and I am always happy to hear what happened to “my” former students.
